Brigid

Brigid – The Divine Feminine in the Celtic tradition.

At the heart of the Celtic tradition there is a fundamental belief in the presence of the Divine Feminine which gives birth /life to all beings.  Even God is seen to emerge from the feminine energy of being-ness.  Brigid, as representative of the Divine feminine within the Celtic tradition is present at the heart of this tradition as both goddess and saint.

While Brigid is often associated with the maiden of springtime, she also represents the Divine Feminine energy in its mother and cailleach forms. This ensures that all the aspects of the feminine energy are included and honoured within the tradition.

This course offers participants an opportunity to explore the stories associated with Brigid, goddess and saint.   The archetypical energies and qualities   associated with Brigid are held within these stories.  Exploring these stories offers us insights into the hidden messages within them. These stories show offer us insights as to  how the divine feminine, as expressed through Brigid, is made manifest in the world. As we become more aware of this, we look to ourselves and ask “How can I embody the divine feminine energy in my life?”

The course will also offer experiences that facilitate an awakening and development of these qualities within each of us.  As this happens, we each embody more of the Divine Feminine  energy within our lives and so become a crucial part of the re-emergence of the Divine Feminine within  the world.

Beauty is all about us, but how many are blind to it, people take such  little pleasure
in the natural and quiet and simple things of Life “
