Brigid

Brigid – Inspiration For a New Society.

For millennia Brigid has held a special place in the heart and soul of Ireland and its people, both in her Pre-Christian goddess form and as a Celtic Christian. Her feast day Lá Fheile Bríd heralds the beginning of springtime and it is said that Brigid breathes life into the mouth of dead winter.

This workshop will invite participants to explore and see Brigid, not only as a historical figure, but as a source of inspiration with which to create a life sustaining society.

The workshop invites us to deepen our knowledge about Brigid and the qualities that set her apart as a woman of true power and influence in her day. It will invite each of us to embody, in our unique way, the Brigid qualities of generosity, trust, passion, connection with Divine will and become co-creators of a new, more balanced society. This workshop will include talks, participatory exercises reflective time and a closing ritual to celebrate Imbolc (springtime).
