At this time esoteric knowledge and wisdom from many ancient traditions is re-emerging into consciousness. This CD together with the book Ever Ancient Ever New (2006) is my contribution to the re emergent wisdom of the ancient tradition from which I emerged. The Celtic calendar, which is at least 3000years old, links the passing of time with the seasons of the natural world and with the cosmological dimensions of the world through its relationship with the sun and the moon. This calendar also marks the spiritually significant moments of the year .The wisdom contained within this calendar reveals many of the core beliefs central to the society that created and lived by this calendar. We, us, you and I , stand at a crucial  moment in time.  We live at a time of Crisis  which is both a time of danger and of opportunity.  This talk explores the signs of hope that are present in the coming together of three streams of consciousness namely

1. The Wisdom of the ancient spiritual traditions
2. The increased anguish for the planet
3. The emerging scientific insights into the nature of reality

This talk given at the beginning of spring explores the riches of the Celtic spiritual tradition and the role of Brigid, goddess , saint and  expression of the archetypal feminine energy so needed  at this time on the planet. Opening up to this knowledge will encourage each of us to connect with the power within and become agents of transformation.

The pre-Roman Spirituality of this and other Celtic countries was deeply and intrinsically ecological.  Their spirituality was an essential and core aspect of their lives

The Sacredness of the earth was a central belief held by these people who experienced the earth and all its inhabitants as imbued with Divine presence. For them to live in right relationship with the natural world  .was  a core spiritual value.  At the beginning of the 21st century ,reclaiming these values and this wisdom is an essential part of healing our relationship with the natural world and bringing balance back into our lives.

The Celtic year is divided into two major seasons  winter time  which begins at (Samhainn) November and is characterised by darkness and summertime which begins at Bealtaine (May ) by brightness . The Celtic Year begins in November ( Samhainn) with a journey into  darkness  from which emerges the new season with its  gifts.

This talk emphasises the importance of daring to journey into the darkness and into those places  of waiting and listening so that the next impulse in our journey can emerge.
